If you’ve always been frustrated with existing postpaid plans from local telcos because you never use up the data or free calls that are bundled, here’s something exciting for you from Digi. The telco has just revised its postpaid plans so whether you need more data or need more calls/SMS, there’s a plan for you.
Available starting today, there are now two categories of SmartPlan postpaid plans – High Data and High Voice. The plans are still the same – SmartPlan 50/78/108/148, however instead of offering one fixed amount of data, voice calls and SMS, there are two options for you to pick from in each plan:
This is actually pretty similar to Celcom’s new First plans with Optimiser, however, instead of automatically determining what you need, you can pick the plan of our choice. What’s interesting is that it looks like Digi is now offering only one type of data as opposed to the internet + smart apps data offered previously. In addition to that, Digi is also offering free unlimited WhatsApp, WeChat, free Music Freedom and Free Facebook to selected users.
The new Digi SmartPlans are available today at all Digi outlets, authorised dealer stores and Digi Store Online. It is available for new and existing customers, as well as for those who wish to port over from another telco. As always, if you exceed the data quota provided, you will not be charged for further usage however, your speed will be throttled.
The unlimited calls and SMS for Digi SmartPlan 108 High Voice and Digi SmartPlan 148 High Voice is available for all local calls and SMS – on-net, off-net and fix lines. However, video calls, special numbers and toll-free 1-300/1-800 number calls will be charged, so be wary of your usage.
The new Digi SmartPlans are also available for those who wish to purchase a device bundle with the telco and has already been reflected in its Store Online, so if you wish to get a Samsung, Meizu or Xiaomi smartphone from the telco, check out the store for more information.
