Battlefield Hardline (or the whole franchise for that matter) is marketed as a serious first-person shooter. That being said, this particular Easter egg ‘vehicle’ in the upcoming game is in complete contrast to the tone that the game sets, which is very refreshing.
The drivable couch, which is called “The American Dream,” can be found in the Dustbowl map on Hotwire mode. It can hold up to four players, and believe it or not, is the fastest vehicle in the game. If a player got run over by this ridiculously hilarious drivable furniture, it will show up as “Merica” in the kill feed. Brilliant.
This isn’t the first time the developer of the Battlefield franchise has inserted such an out of this world Easter egg in its game either. The previous franchise entry, Battlefield 4, has a giant shark (or the Megalodon) hidden underwater for months before adamant players finally discovered the extinct shark.
It sure is nice to see such a fun-natured Easter egg hidden in a serious game like Battlefield Hardline. The game launches tomorrow on the 17th of March 2015 and will be available for the PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS3, and Xbox 360.
