The Honor 4X has been teased by Honor Malaysia on its Facebook page, indicating that the smartphone will be arriving in Malaysia very soon. This mid-range smartphone from Huawei’s sub-brand could just give other budget smartphones a run for their money with its respectable specifications and affordable price tag.
The Honor 4X was first unveiled four months ago with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz under its hood. However, just two months ago, another variant of the very same smartphone was introduced. This particular version of the Honor 4X is powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 620, an octa-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz that is made by the company’s subsidiary, HiSilicon.
Other aspects of the hardware are almost the same for both variants of the Honor 4X, which include a 5.5-inch 720p IPS display, 8GB of internal memory which is expandable with a microSD card up to 32GB, 13MP rear and 5MP front-facing shooters, a 3,000mAh battery, and LTE connectivity.
In terms of RAM, however, both models of the Honor 4X differ slightly. The Snapdragon variant has 2GB of RAM, while the Kirin variant has two choices of RAM size: 1GB and 2GB.
It’s still not known just which variant the company will bring in to Malaysia, but hopefully, it will be the cheaper Kirin model which retails at 899 Yuan (about RM530) and 999 Yuan (approximately RM590) for the 1GB and 2GB variant respectively. Registration of interest for the Honor 4X is now open here.
