Casetify has just announced that it will be offering a more affordable Apple Watch band that is customisable from just USD$50 (about RM180). This is the first company that will be making customisable Apple Watch bands.
Casetify has built a name for itself by customising cases for iPhones, iPads and even Galaxy S series smartphones. Now, the company wants to do the same by offering its custom case-making services to Apple Watch users. Users can either choose from a plethora of pre-designed watch bands, or design their own. Those interested can put their favorite images onto the watch band and call it their own. Customisation can be done from Casetify’s very own app (available on iOS and Android), which also allows for images to be imported from Instagram and Facebook.
Considering that these watch bands are based on a design-it-yourself aspect, the price Casetify is asking for doesn’t sound too ridiculous if users compare it to buying Apple Watch bands from Apple itself. Here’s an interesting idea, for those who want to look posh on the cheap, users can buy the more affordable Sport version of the Apple Watch and then get a watch band with the look of premium materials printed on it.
These bands are made from polycarbonate silicon and they will come in two size variants to fit the 38mm and 42mm Apple Watch casings. Each watch band purchase comes with free worldwide shipping and is expected to start in June 2015.
