If you were disappointed that LG did not reveal anything about the G4 at MWC 2015, perhaps these leaked press images of the upcoming smartphone can offer you some consolation. If these images are legitimate, the G4 could very likely have a metal back that is slightly curved a la the LG G Flex 2.
However, unlike the G Flex 2, the screen itself doesn’t seem to curve; although the back of the device does. Based on these leaked images, it’s possible that the LG G4 will have a metal back. Unless, of course, it is made from the same faux metal back of its predecessor, the LG G3. If these are in fact images of the final product, the previous rumour of a fingerprint sensor at the back of the G4 seems to be false.
So far, the rumoured specifications of the LG G4 include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, a 2560 x 1440 display, a 16MP rear camera, and the company’s very own Android skin, UX 4.0. LG claims that UX 4.0 is “simply the best, and the issue is how to best fit the new UX system into the G4 smartphone,” which is a pretty bold claim.
The LG G4 is set to be released sometime in April 2015. However, it’s likely that LG will unveil the LG UX 4.0 Android skin first before the smartphone is announced; that is, if the company’s earlier plan to do so is still in motion.
