The Apple Watch has just been announced and almost immediately, accessory makers are now making their own announcements for the Apple Watch. US company, Griffin announced the WatchStand, which is a charging dock for the Apple Watch and iPhone.
Well, it isn’t exactly a charging dock because it doesn’t include a built-in charger. Instead, users need to attach their own official Apple charging cable to the dock to start charging their watches. The WatchStand puts the Apple Watch on a pedestal instead of laying it flat on the surface. The insides of the charging dock also has grooves that lets users wrap the excess length of their cables.
Not only that, the charging dock is able to charge the Apple Watch in any orientation, be it landscape or portrait. Apart from it having a weighted and non-slip base to hold the dock in place, the base of the dock also has room for an iPhone. A raised lip on the front end of the base lets users have an angled view of their iPhone.
