Maxis is currently having a data add-on promotion that offers you 200MB of data and unlimited chat on WhatsApp for only RM18. This promotion is available starting today and will run until 31 May 2015. The catch? It is only available for selected Maxis subscribers.
The promotion offers 200MB of data and “unlimited chat on WhatsApp” for RM18. The validity for both is 30 days, but if you finish up the 200MB quota, your speed will be throttled if no other data plan is active. However, you will still be able to chat on WhatsApp for the rest of the 30 days.
There are a few things to note though. Firstly, you can’t buy more than one pass within 30 days so if the 200MB of data has been exhausted, you will need to purchase other add-ons. If you can’t finish the 200MB of data, it will not be carried forward to the next month. Finally, the unlimited WhatsApp is only available via a smartphone app and is not applicable for WhatsApp Web usage, so do be careful if you wish to subscribe to this promotion.
Sadly though, the promotion is only available for selected Maxis subscribers. To see if you are eligible, simply dial *100# and select “What’s New’. In the next menu, select “Just4me”, and you will see “Promo 200MB & WhatsApp 30 Days : RM18”. If you don’t see it then sorry, the promotion is not available for your number.
