Look at what U Mobile announced late last night, the telco will soon be offering the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus with its device bundles.
To all of you who’ve always wanted to get the latest iPhones but haven’t already done so because it’s too expensive, you will soon have another option to consider. The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus is currently available in Malaysia as outright purchase on the Apple Online Store, Apple resellers in Malaysia, and is also offered by all the other big 3 telcos – Maxis, Celcom and DiGi, who subsidises the price of the phone when you sign up for a contract with them.
With the new #GetClever plans from U Mobile, if the telco bundles the iPhone 6/ 6 Plus with those plans – P50 / P70, the monthly commitment starts from as low as RM50, with 3GB of data to offer and free 50minutes of voice calls a month. The other option is P70 at RM70 a month with 4.5GB of internet and free 70 minutes of calls a month. Both plans also offers 30 minutes of free onnet calls, but only if you finish the free monthly allocations first.
Of course, we can’t be sure that U Mobile will be offering the iPhones with its #GetClever plans. U Mobile has quite a number of postpaid plans like U28, Internet Share Plan, Ultimate Device Plan and U Platinum. Will the telco stick to these plans, or will they introduced plans specially dedicated for the iPhones like Digi’s iDigi plans or Maxis’ iValue plans?
No dates have been given, but according to a reply on Facebook, the pre-registration will commence on 9 March 2015. You will then be able to fill in your details and wait for the telco to send you more information.
“Pre-registration will open on 9 March. Please register your interest in order to be the first to know when it is launched. In the meantime, do follow us on Facebook and Twitter to get latest information.” (Source)
