Sony has posted on its Twitter page mentioning that it will be unveiling something “slimmer, lighter and brighter” on the 2nd of March 2015, which is when MWC 2015 will be happening. More likely than not, the company is foreshadowing the unveiling of the Xperia Z4 Tablet that has been accidentally revealed earlier this week.
If you were hoping Sony was actually teasing its new flagship smartphone, you would be disappointed. Judging by the picture that the company has posted on its Twitter page, it’s more than likely to be a tablet rather than a smartphone. The way that the device is held seems to suggest a larger form factor. Unless, of course, Sony is trying to throw us off (which is highly doubtful).
Slimmer. Lighter. Brighter.
All will be revealed on 02.03.15. #Xperia #SonyMWC pic.twitter.com/VHW7q52Ywx— Sony | Xperia (@sonyxperia) February 26, 2015
The tagline sheds more light on what to expect for the Xperia Z4 Tablet. This is the second time a lightweight device has been mentioned by Sony. As we have previously indicated, the design of the Z4 Tablet is reminiscent of the Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, but it is unknown whether or not the tagline is in direct comparison to this tablet.
As far as specifications go, only a 2K display has been revealed, along with the “latest ultra fast processor and industry leading battery performance” statement that is rather vague. But based on the tagline, we can expect a slim, light and bright (possibly display) device to be unveiled on the 2nd of March at MWC 2015.
