WhatsApp Web: https://t.co/BPQLxqKDSj – Firefox and Opera browsers are now supported! pic.twitter.com/D4aQiy5IC6

The web companion for Whatsapp has finally arrived on Firefox and Opera browsers. Users will be able to log into the service in the same manner as the Chrome version, that is by scanning the QR code from the app. It looks like other browsers will be added to the list in time, but this is good news for those who would rather not use Chrome.
Notably still missing from Whatsapp Web is any connection to the Apple eco-system. The feature was not available for Whatsapp on iOS, despite launching simultaneously on Android, BlackBerry, Windows Phone, and even Symbian. There is still no word when, or if, it will be made available for iPhone users; but it looks like a long wait.
Firefox and Opera users who are interested in trying out Whatsapp Web can take a look at our handy guide written for Google Chrome, which functions in the same way.
