So sorry to break your bubbles but unfortunately, I’m not in love with any Dota player because I personally don’t play the game. But for those who do though, this should be something that might be interesting to you: there was actually a TV drama that revolves around Dota being aired in the Philippines recently and it is called…“I’m In Love With A Dota Player”.
Truth to be told, the mini-series was adopted from a novel that was published on a platform called Wattpad which explained why the drama is presented by the said platform. Interestingly though, the author of the novel noted that “I’m In Love With A Dota Player” is based on a true story.

While we are not so sure of the plot since we don’t speak Filipino but if the translation by Google is correct, it is about a girl who was asked by a top Dota player in her school to become his girlfriend in order to distract his rival. As you can see in the trailer above, the mini-series even comes with its own theme song.
If you would like to read the original novel, you can do so through Wattpad provided that you understand Filipino or have a friend that is able to translate it to you. Now, let’s see if any of Malaysian TV stations are willing to show the mini-series in our shores…
