If you think that the new U Mobile UMI prepaid and postpaid plans are too good to be true, you’re right…sort off. According to the telco, the free daily calls from U Mobile to U Mobile is only available after the free all-net calls have been used up.
The free monthly calls is available for all-net (all-networks), which means that all your local calls (including calls to U Mobile numbers), will be deducted from that pool first. Only after you have finished the free all-net calls, will you be able to use the free 30 minutes on-net calls a day. This is applicable for all the newly announced plans – Prepaid UMI 20/30/50, and Postpaid Plans P50/P70.
With this, it means that in order for you to enjoy your free daily on-net calls, you will need to use up your free monthly all-net minutes, and pay at a pay-per-use rate of 5sen/30seconds after that just to contra off the 30 minutes of free onnet calls a day? Is it worth it? Well, it depends on your most frequently called numbers – if they are all U Mobile numbers, then fine. Otherwise, just watch your usage so you don’t get a bill shock at the end of the month.
If it’s any consolation, you can bring forward your free call minutes and accumulate up to two times the free talk time offered. In addition to that, the 5sen/30seconds calls are is actually quite cheap, especially for prepaid users.
