Huawei’s next flagship model, the Ascend P8 (codenamed M100-UL00) might be getting a 16nm processor and a 2999 Yuan (about RM1,715) price tag. The information comes from an image that surfaced on Weibo, showing some of the specifications of the phone, including Huawei’s own octa-core 1.5Ghz Kirin 930 processor, 6mm body and a duo camera system.
As seen from the image above, the Huawei P8’s design will supposedly have dual glass panels on its front and back with the phone’s thickness measuring in at only 6mm. It will also have fingerprint scanning integration, as well as a dual camera system on the rear much like the one on the Huawei Ascend P6 Plus. However, instead of 8 megapixels, the company might also be upgrading the sensors to a 13 megapixel one.
In terms of the internals, the phone will feature a 5.2-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and have a Kirin 930 16nm processor on board. This would grant the device 64-bit processing and access to 4G LTE connectivity. It will also have 3GB RAM, dual LED flash and a battery of 2,600mAh capacity.
The bottom of the image also states that the Ascend P8 will be launched in the UK on the 15th of April. That being said, readers should take these news with a pinch of salt as not much is confirmed about the P8 yet.
