Previously raising US$1 million in just seven hours, Exploding Kittens is currently at US$4.5 million and rising, making it the most backed campaign in Kickstarter history. At this rate, the card game would probably hit US$5 million in no time.
Ever since reaching US$1 million, the card game has introduced a new stretch goal that has now been completed. The Exploding Kittens team will now expand the NSFW deck to 56 stand-alone cards instead of a bonus set. To make the deal even sweeter, it wouldn’t cost backers any extra money at all.
This basically means Exploding Kittens can now be played with up to eight people. Unfortunately, there’s not much detail on how the “not-safe-for work” cards will look like, but it’s probably safe to assume that it won’t be appropriate for kids (or conservative adults for that matter).
As a way of saying thanks to the backers of the campaign, the Exploding Kittens team will be presenting “very important” updates soon, which should be interesting for anyone who has backed the campaign. If you would like to be a part of the campaign as well, you can do so here.
