Among the many exciting announcements by Microsoft earlier this morning, Dropbox also has an exciting piece of news for Windows Phone users – the official Dropbox is now available for your Windows Phones and tablets.
Available on the Windows Store immediately, Windows Phone users can now enjoy Dropbox features like the ability to automatically back up your photos to Dropbox, make files offline so you won’t need data connection to access them later, and access both your personal and work accounts at once.
As expected, the app is tailored for the Windows platform, which means that you can pin any Dropbox folder on your Start screen for easy access. Sure, you’re already enjoying the free One Drive storage Microsoft has so generously given its Office 365 subscribers, but if you’re using Dropbox for work and on other platforms, you can now easily access those files right from your Windows Phone device.
Dropbox is available for download on Windows Phone 8.0 or higher, and Windows devices running on Windows RT or Windows 8.1.
