HTC’s next iteration of its One flagship smartphone has allegedly been leaked in a series of pictures. While the company is not saying anything until the assumed launch at MWC on 1 March, the leaks appear to confirm the rumoured details about the HTC One M9.
Originally posted by French news site Nowhereelse, the images show a phone that is vaguely similar to the current One M8; although earlier reports had indicated that HTC was sticking to the the same design for its new phone. That isn’t a problem as the form factor has proven to be well received by users, even if the smartphone itself faced lackluster sales.
The big difference is on the back of the device, which shows a square camera. It is unknown if the dual camera setup is still available, and the images fail to show the entire back of the device. Fortunately, rumours indicate that HTC is not using its Ultrapixel technology again.
Other rumoured specifications include a 20-megapixel camera rear camera, 5-megapixel front camera, Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM, and a 1080p Full HD display. It should be noted that the source site has pulled the leaked pictures to protect its source; but this is the internet after all.
