Samsung will be providing RM20 off Easy Taxi fares through its Galaxy Life app for the rest of January. Each user will be able to claim the discount three times, although that should be enough considering that the announcement has come at the very end of the month.
Galaxy Life is a lifestyle app that provides users with a variety of discounts and bonuses. Mostly as an extra incentive for picking up a Samsung device, although it often goes unmentioned; even by the Samsung press. The offers cycle every so often, most of which lasting about a month; although there are some that only apply to special occasions and events.
Easy Taxi is the mobile taxi hailing service, one that uses actual taxis instead of privately owned cards like Uber. The Malaysian-made service has also expanded to neighbouring countries like Singapore, although it tends to go by different names as it crosses borders.
Samsung Galaxy users who take a lot of taxi rides should look into the deal and maybe get a little bit more out of their devices. Like free transportation for a while. There really is nothing to lose.
