Want to get your hands on the newly Xiaomi Mi Note? Well, it looks like you won’t have to wait too long, according to Xiaomi, the device will be launched in Southeast Asia (yes, Malaysia included) by the second quarter of the year.
The 6 months old Xiaomi Mi 4 isn’t even officially available in Malaysia yet, but thankfully this time round, the Chinese company is not going to disappoint its fans in our region again. No firm date has been set but hey, at least we know it’s coming here.
Sadly, if you were hoping to get your hands on the Mi Note Pro, don’t expect it to happen anytime soon. Xiaomi did not announce any launch date for the device anywhere in the world, including China. This is probably be due to several issues from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chip.
Some of the exciting features to look forward to on the Snapdragon 810 SoC
The Snapdragon 810 was previously rumoured to be experiencing some severe overheating at certain voltages, resulting in some performance problem. If true, it means all your dream phones of 2015 might be delayed until Qualcomm finds a solution to the issues. Let’s all keep our fingers crossed that Qualcomm solves the problem soon and that Xiaomi will bring in the Mi Note Pro here just as fast.
