Telekom Malaysia joins in on the flood relief efforts as the company announced that customers that are affected by the disaster in the east coast will receive free replacement of their Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) set and bill rebates to ease their financial burdens.
The free CPE set replacements will be done in stages, with more information on the procedure and process of getting one to be announced soon by TM. As for the bill rebate, customers affected will receive a half-month rebate for the month of December 2014, right around when the floods hit.
We completely emphatise and sympathise with our customers on the hardship they are facing. We realise that some customers will certainly need some reprieve in their financial obligations at this crucial time. – Group Chief Executive Officer of TM, Tan Sri Zamzamzairani Mohd Isa
In order to assist those affected by the floods even further, TM has sent several mobile TMpoint vehicles in Kota Bharu, Tanah Merah, Pasir Mas, and Kuala Krai in Kelantan. These TMpoints on wheels basically provide free telephone calls and WiFi on top of day-to-day operations such as attending to customer enquiries, complaints, and service applications from 10am to 5pm daily.
It certainly is nice to see more parties getting involved in the flood relief efforts to help our fellow Malaysians over at the east coast. Those affected by the floods who wish to get into contact with TM for more information can do so by emailing to help@tm.com.my or via its Twitter account.
