Waiting for Apple’s annual Red Friday sales? So are we. Last year’s Red Friday sales was held on 10 January 2014, weeks before Chinese New Year, so when will it be held this time round? 30 January 2015 should be the date to mark on your calendar.
According to our forum members who dug back the previous Red Friday sales date since 2011, the 1-day sales event from Apple for Asian countries have always been held on the third Friday before Chinese New Year. This means that if Apple is to follow its own trend, the auspicious date (for Apple fans), should fall on 30 January 2015.

Apple’s Red Friday sales is an annual event held in selected Asian markets including China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan and Thailand. Previously, the sales were only for items like Apple Mac, iPod, iPad and Apple TV however, last year, they also gave discounts for their iPhones.
The last Red Friday sales saw a discount of RM161 for iPhones, up to RM131 for iPad, RM301 for MacBook and even RM21 off for Lightning cables. Fortunately for shoppers, Apple seems to have mixed up their Singaporean dollar and Malaysian Ringgit, and gave further discount – I received a RM418.25 discount for my iPhone 5s.
