Just another day more to go before Xiaomi’s big event of 2015. We’ve already seen quite a number of rumours and leaks, and now, say hello to leaked pictures of the Xiaomi Mi 5, along with its AnTuTu benchmark scores.
Take these leaks with a pinch of salt though because they’re going to be pretty disappointing. According to the information published on AnTuTu, the Mi 5 will be powered by a Snapdragon 801 processor instead of the rumoured Snapdragon 805 or the 810. There will also be only 2GB of RAM instead of the standard 3GB found on most flagship smartphones that are available in the market today.
However, despite the disappointing configuration, GSMArena notes that the score received on AnTuTu is pretty good.
What will Xiaomi announce in its #MiLaunch115? According to the latest teaser posted on Xiaomi’s Facebook page, it says “_____ is better than one”, so it is likely that they could announce the two most talked about upcoming Xiaomi smartphones – the Mi 5 and Redmi Note 2.
Additionally, if you take a closer look, among the pictures claiming to be a Mi 5, which looks like a slightly bigger Mi 4 and shares a similar metal frame, there’s a black device with a very shiny plastic-looking cover, which could be the Redmi Note 2. Are the benchmark details of the Redmi Note 2 instead of the Mi 5?
Are you excited yet? Just one more day to go before the big day.
