Been waiting for Samsung to announce a smartwatch with a round face? Your wish might be granted at MWC 2015, which will be happening in early March. According to Sammobile, Samsung’s rounded face smartwatch will be announced at MWC 2015 however, it might not be an Android Wear powered one.
Rounded smartwatches have definitely taken the market by storm ever since Motorola took the curtains off its Moto 360. LG has one called the LG G Watch R, and now it’s Samsung’s turn with the SM-R720 aka “Orbis”. Sadly if you were hoping to get Android Wear, it looks like Samsung will be sticking to Tizen OS.
According to Sammobile, Samsung has patented a round smartwatch with a rotating dial back in 2013, and it might make its debut on the Orbis. The rotating ring that goes around the watch face is said to be used for things like zooming in and out.
Interested? MWC is about a month and a half away, so stay tuned.
