Apart from the Acer Liquid Z410, Acer has got another Android smartphone to show off at the on-going CES 2015 – the Acer Liquid Jade S that features a HD display, 64-bit octa-core processor and more.
The Acer Liquid Jade S features a larger 5” 720p display compared with the Z410 that has a 4.5” display with a rather disappointing resolution. Beneath that is a 64-bit octa-core MT6572M processor by MediaTek, paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage that is expandable via microSD up to 32GB.
The rest of the specs is similar, if not better, than the Liquid Z410 – 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, LTE-enabled, dual-SIM support, 2,300mAh built-in battery, and runs on Android 4.4 out of the box that is upgradable to Android 5.0 Lollipop.
Other notable features of the Liquid Jade S includes gesture control that lets you unlock the device by “drawing” on a sleeping display, voice-activated software that, for example, lets you switch the camera to HDR mode using your voice, or say “selfie” for it to switch to the front-camera and start a 3-seconds countdown timer.
As expected, the Acer Liquid Jade S will have a more expensive retail price of €299 (RM1,270) compared with the Liquid Z410 that retails at €129.
