Still remember Nabu, Razer’s foray into wearable market? Well, the company who are more known for its gaming peripherals and Blade gaming laptops has apparently decided to produce another version of the smartband that is more affordable for the masses. That very smartband is called the Nabu X which was unveiled at CES 2015 earlier today.
Despite being made as the budget iteration of Nabu, it turns out that there is only one major difference between Nabu X and its premium older brother: their displays. In fact, Nabu X actually doesn’t come with any display as per the original Nabu.
Instead, Nabu X features three LED indicators with customizable colors. It still retain pretty much all other functionalities that the original Nabu has including activity tracking, vibration motor, gesture recognition, band-to-band communications, and support for third party apps.
Of course, the new smartband also supports Android and iOS smartphone just like the original Nabu. Scheduled for release within the next few months, the new Razer Nabu X carries a price tag of USD 49.99 (RM 179) which is USD 50 (RM 178) less than the original Nabu. That being said, members of Razer Insider community in US and Europe will be able to purchase it for only USD 19.99 (RM 72) this month.
