While the release date has been a subject of speculation for some time and it turns out that what we have heard before is true: Microsoft will indeed release its new Windows 10 operating system at the end of July. Specifically, it will be on 29 July according to official announcement by the company just few hours ago.
What more important is that you might be able to reserve the free upgrade for your system immediately.
If your Windows 7 SP1 or Windows 8.1-based system is eligible for the Windows 10 upgrade, you will see an icon in your at the right side of your taskbar. Clicking on it will open a program called Windows 10 Upgrade Advisor that allows you to reserve the upgrade by entering your e-mail address. After that, Microsoft will then automatically notify you once the new operating system is available to download and install.
According to the program, there will a 3GB download involved in the upgrade process. Obviously, this means that users might need to clear up some storage space before they are able to install Windows 10 into their system later.
