Other than releasing a slew of mobile products such as the ZenFone Selfie and ZenPad tablets, Asus also unveiled several new Republic of Gamer (ROG) products at Computex 2015. These include two new G-Sync monitors, an RGB mechanical keyboard, a gaming mouse, and a new graphics card.
First up is the new ROG Poseidon GTX 980 Ti. What makes this particular graphics card interesting is the fact that it can be cooled in two methods: air cooling, water cooling, or both, making it a pretty versatile GPU. It also features “aerospace-grade” Super Alloy Power II components which Asus claims give the Poseidon GTX 980 Ti “unsurpassed quality and reliability.”
Asus also has two new G-Sync monitors, namely the ROG 3800R and ROG Swift PG279Q. The former is a 34-inch curved monitor with a resolution of 3440 x 1440, while the latter has a 27-inch IPS panel with a resolution of 2560 x 1440. The Swift also has a rather impressive refresh rate of 144Hz.
Last, but not least, are the new ROG gaming peripherals, the ROG Spatha and ROG Claymore. The Spatha is a gaming mouse that can be used wirelessly or wired, giving users the option to go for whichever configuration that suits their need. The Claymore, on the other hand, is an RGB mechanical keyboard that is equipped with genuine Cherry MX switches – in blue, brown, red, and black variants. It also supports up to “16.8 million colours per key”, n-key rollover, a USB 3.1 passthrough port, and a detachable macro keypad that can be placed on either sides of the keyboard.
Asus has not given any information yet on the retail price and availability of these products.
