True to our prediction last week, Microsoft Malaysia just moments ago has launched three brand new Lumia smartphones for our market. These new Windows Phone 8 smartphones include Lumia 640, Lumia 640 XL and Lumia 430.
First launched at MWC 2015, the Malaysian variant for Lumia 640 is a dual-SIM LTE model while its slightly larger sibling Lumia 640 XL will be made available as dual-SIM 3G model. As promised at its global unveiling (shown above), both Lumia 640 and 640 XL will come standard with free one-year subscription to Office 365 Personal , 1TB of OneDrive cloud storage, and 60 Skype world minutes. However, this offer is only valid from 1 April to 30 June and it must be redeemed before 14 August.
The Lumia 640 LTE Dual SIM carries a price tag of RM 739 while Lumia 640 XL 3G Dual SIM goes for RM 929. No words on Lumia 640 XL LTE Dual SIM at this moment, unfortunately. If you wondering what these devices are all about, check out our hands on experience with Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL during our visit to MWC 2015 last month.
As for Lumia 430, it also features dual-SIM capability although the connectivity speed is limited to 3.5G. In terms of pricing, it will go for RM 319 which made it one of the most affordable Lumia smartphones around.
Microsoft Lumia 640 LTE Dual SIM and Lumia 640 XL 3G Dual SIM will be available at retailers nationwide starting this Friday, 17 April while Lumia 430 will be released at the end of April. Stay tuned for our quick look at Lumia 430 coming your way very soon.
