It looks like the HTC launch event was indeed for “more than one” device. Along with the HTC One M9+, the company also announced the arrival of the HTC Desire 826 in Malaysia.
Announced in CES 2015, the HTC Desire 826 is one of the first smartphones to feature the company’s own UltraPixel camera on the front. The Taiwanese company has swapped out the UltraPixel rear camera to the front, and replaced it with a standard 13MP rear camera instead.
On the outside, the Desire 826 looks like your typical mid-range HTC desire smartphone. It has a plastic body and HTC’s BoomSound speakers at the front. The device features a 5.5” Full HD display and is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Other specs include microSD card slot, LTE connectivity, 2300mAh battery, and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop, the first HTC smartphone to feature Android 5.0.
The HTC Desire 826 will go on sale for a retail price of RM1,359 starting on 30 April 2015.
