Sefton Hill, the game director for Batman: Arkham Knight and Rocksteady Studios has released a statement on the release date for the epic finale of the Arkham trilogy. Unfortunately, the highly-anticipated finale to the Arkham series will be pushed back by several weeks. An extended gameplay trailer was also released along with the announcement of the new release date.
The game will be available to the public on the 23 June 2015, which is a three-week push back from the original 2 June 2015 release date. According to Hill, the developers at Rocksteady are taking a little longer to finish up the final touches for Batman: Arkham Knight, all in the name of delivering the best gaming experience.
To hype up the game and make the wait even more unbearable for the fans, the announcement coincided with the release of the “Officer Down” gameplay video which can be viewed above. It is the latest sneak peek of how the game will look; ripped straight from the Playstation 4, the gameplay video shows off the game’s stunning graphics and gameplay mechanics.
The Batmobile makes another appearance in the gameplay video to tease the fans, and to show off Batman’s very own crime-fighting super vehicle. The video shows how the Batmobile will be manoeuvred in the game, in full Batman glory.
This is the first release date delay announced by Rocksteady Studios and we sure hope that it will not turn out to be like the GTA V for PC, which has been pushed back several times.
