HP seems to have struck a deal with Bang & Olufsen after its agreement with Beats has been severed. After Apple acquired Beats Electronics for a huge sum of US$10 billion, the audio company is forced to sever its agreements with other companies, including HP.
In any case, HP’s partnership with Bang & Olufsen will bring “crisp and accurate sound experience that is tailored to the use case scenarios of the respective HP units.” For example, if you were to play a video clip on an HP all-in-one PC, the sound will be “tuned to fill your living room or office.”
Interestingly, certain HP devices will still carry the Beats Audio branding until the end of 2015. More likely than not, these devices should be existing models which were manufactured before this deal with Bang & Olufsen was finalised. If you’re really wanting to get yourself a HP device with Beats Audio, now should be the perfect time.
That being said, HP products with the Bang & Olufsen branding will be shipping sometime this Spring. Don’t be surprised if you see HP products that is tuned by Bang & Olufsen right beside machines with the Beats Audio branding on store shelves.
