For those of you who have been waiting for the official availability of the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge, you won’t have to wait much longer: the South Korean giants will be launching its latest flagship smartphones in Malaysia next week.
Announced just three weeks ago at its Unpacked event in Barcelona, the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge are Samsung’s most advanced smartphones to date. A dramatic departure away from previous Galaxy devices, the new Galaxy S6 and S6 edge are made from premium materials, and powered by the most advanced hardware around.
With a glass and metal construction, the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge is strikingly good-looking, while its choice of colours are meant to ignite an even more premium look. Inside, both devices are powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 7420 octa-core processors with 3GB of RAM, and feature a 5.1-inch 2560 x 1440 Super AMOLED display, 16MP rear and 5MP front facing cameras, a 2,550mAh non-removable battery, and storage options of 32GB, 64GB and 128GB.
While there is not more information available from Samsung at the moment, it appears that the S6 and S6 edge will be arriving to the country sooner than its mid-April estimate. Most of the major telcos in Malaysia have begun teasing the release of the devices, with the most recent Maxis one appearing at the same time that the invites were sent out. Unfortunately, we will not be hearing of any confirmed retail price until the launch event itself.
