Remember WhatSim, a worldwide SIM card that offers unlimited chat on WhatsApp in 150 countries for only €10? Well, WhatSim has just renamed itself to ChatSim and it now offers you unlimited chat to a whole lot more messaging services. It is the “first Sim in the world that makes you chat with everyone free of charge and with no limits. Anywhere in the world”.
Basically, ChatSim is identical to WhatSim. For just €10, you will get a Sim card (available in all sizes including micro and nano SIM) that allows you to stay connected in 150 countries around the world. However, instead of WhatsApp only, ChatSim now works with “all messaging systems in the world” like QQ, Facebook Messenger, WeChat, Skype, Viber, Line, Kakao Talk, Telegram, Snapchat, iMessage, Twitter, Hangouts, and “all other apps for smartphones and tablets”.
As before, the free unlimited chat is only for text messages. Multimedia messages will be charged based on credits however, it seems like ChatSim has finally given more details about the charges. For every €10 recharge, you will get 2,000 credits. Photos, videos, calls and such will be charged from 50 credits to 750 credits per MB depending on your zone.
Malaysia is located at Zone 2, which costs 100 credits/MB – according to ChatSim, that’s about 100 photos of about 200kB in size, or 20 videos lasting about 10 seconds.
Interested? ChatSim is available for a yearly fee of €10 and ships to Malaysia for a fee of €10. Visit ChatSim now for more information. Will you get a SIM card for about RM40 just to keep you connected on messengers?
