Samsung has just announced the availability of the Galaxy Note Edge in Malaysia on its Facebook page. Featuring the company’s first ever curved display on a smartphone, the Note Edge is only available in selected countries; so we can consider ourselves pretty fortunate.
The Note Edge has very similar specifications to the Galaxy Note 4, with the main difference being its unique curved display on the right side of the screen. Under its hood, it has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 2.5GHz quad-core processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, a new S Pen, a 16MP Smart OIS camera, and a 3.7MP front camera. Its display is also an impressive 5.6-inch 2560 x 1600 Super AMOLED display.
The unique selling point of the Note Edge is the curved display with a resolution of 2560 x 160. Dubbed as the Edge Screen, this curved portion of the smartphone has little actual use as it is, aside from being a notifications ticker and an extra space to place app shortcuts.
The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge retails at RM2,999 and is now available at all authorised Samsung retailers.
