The Lenovo P70 is powered by a 4,000 mAh Li-poly battery and claims to have battery life of up to 34 days in standby mode and up to 46 hours of talk time. Anyone who constantly complains about having to recharge smartphones should pay attention.
The P70 is not the only Lenovo smartphone with such a large battery. Under the Chinese company’s portfolio, other smartphones of similar capacity includes the 5-inch P780, the 5.3 inch S860, and its latest flagship which we recently reviewed – the Vibe Z2 Pro (K920).
Users also get a 5-inch HD display with a resolution of up to 1280 x 720, a 1.7GHz octa-core Mediatek MT6752 chipset, and 2GB of RAM. As for memory, the device has 16GB of built-in storage and is capable of expansion with the microSD card support.
On the rear, a 13MP camera with flash can be seen while the front 5MP camera will be in charge selfies and video calls. The phone runs on Android KitKat 4.4.4 out of the box and other features include Lenovo’s Vibe UI, LTE support, dual SIM slot and OTG (on-the-go) support. With the 4,000mAh battery, the P70 is definitely a powerhouse and should have the function to act as a powerbank to charge the user’s other devices as well, much like the Lenovo P780.
The Lenovo P70 was officially launched in China for 1399 Yuan (about RM810). It is still unclear whether the device will reach Malaysian shores, but let’s not rule out the possibility.
