Sony will not be unveiling its next flagship at the upcoming MWC 2015 that is happening in March. At least, that’s what the latest rumour is suggesting. If this does prove to be true, what will Sony be showcasing at the hugely anticipated event?
Considering how important MWC is for phone manufacturers, it’s unlikely that Sony won’t be unveiling anything at the event. It’s worth noting that the company has done this before; the Z3 was unveiled at IFA 2014 despite Sony saying that it wouldn’t be showcasing any flagship smartphone.
On the other hand, it’s pretty odd that the Z4 has not been leaked as much yet. The Z3 had plenty of leaks before its unveiling, but as of now, we only know certain specifications of the Z4. No images of the Z4 were leaked, and the closest thing that we have is only the LCD touch digitizer.
In any case, it could also be possible that Sony will not go through with its six-month cycle for the Z series of flagship Android smartphones any more. But seeing as how it has went through with it until the Z3 now, it’s anyone’s guess at this point.
