Samsung has officially confirmed the Galaxy A7, the fastest, biggest and thinnest device in the Galaxy A series. Boasting a quad-core processor and measuring only 6.3mm thick, the A7 could be a very compelling device.
The Galaxy A7 will be available in two variants: single-SIM and dual-SIM. The only difference between these two models is the processor powering it; the dual-SIM model gets an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor with four Cortex-A53 (1.5GHz) and four Cortex-A53 (1.0GHz) cores, while the single-SIM variant gets a Samsung Exynos 5430 octa-core processor with four Cortex-A15 (1.7GHz) and four Cortex-A7 (1.3GHz) cores.
Other specifications include a 5.5-inch 1280 x 720 Super AMOLED display (although the one displayed in the Galaxy A5 and A3 Malaysia launch event has a full HD display), 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage with support for up to 64GB of microSD card, a 2600mAh battery, LTE support, and Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box. In the camera department, there is a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front-facing snapper, and just like the other Galaxy A smartphones, the A7 features a variety of photo taking features such as Wide Selfie, Rear-cam Selfie, and Beauty Face.
