The OPPO R1C has been officially announced in China. Just as the leaked images and specifications have shown, OPPO’s newest device does in fact feature a sapphire glass back in two shades of colours: Blue and White.
More detailed specifications of the device have been released as well, such as a 5-inch 1280 x 720 LTPS display, a Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot that supports up to 128GB, 13MP rear and 5MP front cameras, and ColorOS 2.0.1 that is based on Android 4.4 KitKat.
Other noteworthy features include a 2420mAh battery that is fitted inside a 6.85mm thick body, dual-SIM support (micro SIM and nano SIM), and LTE connectivity. The OPPO R1C is also pretty light, weighing only 130 grams.
The OPPO R1C retails at 2499 Yuan (about RM1,440) and is now available for pre-order in China. The new device will go on sale on the 20th of January 2015. Those who are versed in Chinese can visit the official product page for more information and images.
