For all Dota 2 kakis out there, it is now time to sharpen your skills as the Major All Star Dota 2 Tournament is about to hit Kuala Lumpur very soon. Set to be the biggest Dota 2 tournament to hit not only Malaysia but also South East Asia, eight teams from all over the world will be fighting for at least US$100,000 (around RM 356,800) worth of total cash prizes.
What is it for Malaysian Dota 2 enthusiasts then? Read on below to learn more.
Out of the eight teams, six will come from four different regions including two from South East Asia, two more from Europe, one from China, and another one from North America. The eligible teams for Europe, China and North America will be determined through an invite-only online qualifiers while the two South East Asian teams will be invited directly into the final eight teams of the Major All Star Dota 2 Tournament.
Hence, that leaves us with two more spots. For all Malaysian Dota 2 enthusiasts out there that have been dreaming of making it big or simply looking for bigger challenges, this is where you need to pay attention: the two spots out of the eight team for the event’s LAN grand finale will be made available through an open online qualifier specially for all South East Asian teams.
In fact, registrations for the qualifier is now open according to the organiser, Fallout Gaming. However, what we have mentioned so far is just part of the big picture.
While the location of the Major All Stars Dota 2 Tournament LAN finale has not yet been revealed at the moment even though the dates have been locked down to March 2015 as mentioned earlier, we were given the impression that it will be a massive event – which means that it will not be held in a cyber cafe at the very least. Being a physical event, there will be some activities and booths for all event attendees to check out while simultaneously enjoy all the action that the Major All Stars Dota 2 Tournament LAN finale has to offer.
For those who couldn’t make it to the physical event, they will be be able to catch it live online. Additionally, the casting will be provided by BeyondTheSummit which is a very well-known entity in the scene.
