Now that Samsung has unveiled a handful of mid-range Android smartphones, what about the lower end ones? It looks like the Korean company is working on a Samsung Galaxy J1.
It’s not the first time this device is hitting the rumour mill, the specifications were leaked just last month, and now we can finally see what it looks like. Sammobile seems to have gotten their hands on some promotional leaflet of the Galaxy J1, boasting several features like a great battery life, 5MP rear camera, 2MP front camera and a “Palm Selfie” mode.
According to previous leaks, the Samsung Galaxy J1 has a model number SM-J100. It features a 4.3” 480 x 800 display and will be powered by a Marvell PXA1908 64-bit quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz. This is paired with 1GB of RAM and 4GB of expandable storage, and 1850mAh battery. The device will be sold in four variants – single and dual-SIM LTE, and single and dual-SIM 3G. The 3G unit will only see a VGA front camera instead of the 2MP one.
Could it be unveiled on Wednesday, 14 January, as shown on the date on the homescreen? We’ll just have to wait and see.
