It looks like the HTC One (M9) / HTC Hima may not be the only device to expect from HTC at MWC 2015, the company is now rumoured to show off a flagship phablet too, most likely a successor to the HTC One Max that was announced back in late 2013.
According to the latest leaks, HTC is working on a HTC One (M9) Plus (if the company will be calling it that) features a 5.5” QHD display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560. Like most flagships in 2015, it will be powered by a Snapdragon 810 processor with 3GB of RAM on board.
Strangely though, while the leaked pictures my show off a HTC-branded smartphone with a very typical HTC design language, the One (M9) Plus comes with a physical home button that hasn’t been seen on a HTC smartphone for years now. The home button is rumoured to pack fingerprint sensor, but it doesn’t make sense that HTC would compromise its famous Boom Sound speakers instead of opting the same rear fingerprint sensor on the HTC One Max.
On the back of the “HTC One (M9) Plus”, there’s a large rounded camera lens that looks different from the one we saw on the leaked pictures of the HTC One M9. The size of the lens suggests that it may feature a 20.7MP sensor on board. It also look like HTC will be using its famous Duo Camera setup again, bringing extra camera features that sets the Taiwanese company apart from its competitors.
MWC 2015 will be happening in early March this year. How many of you are looking forward to see what HTC has got to offer? Do you think that these leaked images are real?
