LG will be bringing a massive 34-inch curved display to CES next week, and it is already making the details known. Aimed at gamers, the UltraWide desktop monitor includes the ability to be stacked and angled together, to create an even more impressive setup. Provided there are people who need four 34-inch monitors at the same time.
The monitor will feature an aspect ratio of 21:9, which isn’t unheard of for LG; although like every new product it says this one is better than the rest of the old lineup. It also has support for AMD’s FreeSync technology, which should reduce screen tearing when activated. The IPS panel’sability to output 99 percent of the sRGB color gamut, and 178 degree viewing angle round out the revealed specifications.
LG is also aiming the UltraWide display at stock brokers, who may appreciate the extra screen area for monitoring stock tickets. The stacking ability also allows the displays to mimic the setup often found in stock exchanges, all in the comfort of one’s own home.
There is no pricing or availability date yet, but it is likely that LG is saving that information for CES 2015.
