A mysterious Samsung smartphone, dubbed the SM-G430, has been making rounds on the Internet. Although the company said that it is planning to reduce its 2015 smartphone portfolio by up to 30%, it sure is busy developing more and more smartphones; most likely in anticipation of CES 2015.
So far, the confirmed specifications of the G430 include a 5.5-inch display with 1920 x 1080 resolution. Powering this mysterious device is a processor clocked at 2.5GHz, suggesting that it may be the quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801.
If it is in fact powered by the Snapdragon 801, the G430 could feature LTE connectivity seeing how this processor has support for Cat. 4 LTE. Other specifications include single-SIM support and Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.
From the specifications, this new smartphone from Samsung is definitely in the upper-range of Android devices. As far as its identity goes, it is definitely not the Galaxy S6 as this device only sports a 1080p resolution, while the Galaxy S6 has been rumoured to have a QHD 2560 x 1440 resolution. In addition to that, the Galaxy s6 has been given the model number SM-G920F.
It will be interesting to see what are the key selling points of this mysterious smartphone from Samsung. We might be seeing a very interesting smartphone lineup from the company at the upcoming CES 2015.
