The never-ending string of PC game sales continues with the return of the Steam Holiday Sale. A new system of Daily Deals and Community Choice discounts is in effect, although Steam has apparently decided against turning this sale into a giant game again.
Veterans of Steam sales will know that there is a strategy to buying games during this time where discounts can range from between 10 and 90-percent. Steam has altered the formula a little since the last big sale, with Flash sales and Daily Deals being replaced with Featured Deals (on a two day rotation) and an unnamed 12 hour cycle of titles. Naturally, Community Choice voting and Steam Holiday Trading cards are also still around.
PC gamers have not had to pay full price for a game in the last couple of months, mostly because of the ridiculous number of sales that have been going on since before Black Friday. This is close to two months of nothing but cheap video games, and one wonders if sale fatigue is a real thing.
The Steam Holiday Sale will run until 2nd January 2015.
