The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G is now officially in Malaysia and if you don’t want to wait for flash sales from Xiaomi Malaysia, you can now get it with a contract from Maxis from as low as RM99.
At the time of writing, Maxis’ online store seems to have stock for the device so you won’t have to wait for Xiaomi Malaysia to announce a sale for you to stand a chance to buy one. However, you’ll need to sign up for a 24 months contract with one of the telco’s postpaid plans – MaxisONE plan or MaxisONE plan lite.
Announced about 4 months ago, the Redmi Note 4G not only comes with a faster internet connectivity, it also features a different processor and is a tiny bit lighter than before. The Redmi Note 4G is powered by a 1.6GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor and uses Adreno 305 GPU. Other specs remains the same with 2GB of RAM, 8GB of expandable storage, 13MP rear camera, and a slightly smaller battery of 3100mAh.
The device officially went on sales in Malaysia on 11 December 2014 and was sold out in under 5 minutes. Xiaomi Malaysia held another flash sales on 16 December whereby it was sold out in less than 8 minutes. The Chinese company has sold a total of 17,000 units of Redmi Note 4G in Malaysia since its arrival.
