We have previously reported that Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes will be coming to Steam and a 4K resolution is confirmed for the PC version. However, no one really knows if it was going to be a port of the console version with an upscaled resolution. PC gamers, you can stop holding your breath now; the PC version of the game will have a myriad of graphics options for you to play with.
In a recent livestream by Konami Japan, Ground Zeroes for the PC was previewed. While the team were playing around with the graphics options at the 40 minute mark of the video, we can see that 4K resoltion is indeed available, along with a whole lot of other options.
The video may be in Japanese, but you can roughly figure out what the options are. Everything is turned up to the maximum (except for the resolution) for the gameplay portion around the 45:35 mark. Judging by the video, the PC version of Ground Zeroes looks very promising.
MGS 5: Ground Zeroes will be available on the 18th of December 2014 from Steam. Retail price of the game has not been revealed yet, but it shouldn’t be too long now.
