First released to the world in 2006, the final game in the Microsoft Flight Simulator series – Flight Simulator X – will be making a comeback to Steam very soon. This particular version which is called Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition is developed by a company called Dovetail Games, known for its RailWorks/Train Simulator series.
Scheduled for release on 18 December, the Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition will come with more than 20 aircraft ranging from fighter and commercial jets, to private planes and even helicopters. The game will also include over 80 missions for players to test their skills including search and rescue challenges, test pilot scenarios, races, and more.
Not only that, Dovetail Games has also provided the game with more than 24,000 airports as well as Windows 8.1 support and updated multiplayer functionality. The company is also working with several partners to deliver add-ons for the game which apparently will be released around the New Year.
As interesting as this might be, Dovetail somehow didn’t mentioned the actual price for the game apart from it having “a spectacular introductory price”. Well, guess we just have to wait for its release then.
