PlayStation 4 exclusive Destiny will be receiving its first piece of paid DLC soon, although users who have pre-ordered The Dark Below expansion have discovered that their games have been locked until the additional content is made available. This hasn’t affected everyone, as it appears to be confined to only the digital PS4 version.
The issue first appeared on Reddit, where a user posted a screenshot of a timer informing him of how long the wait will be before Destiny can be played. Comments from other users deduced that it is confined to the digital copy, as those who bought the physical disc have not experienced the issue.
Naturally, deleting the game and downloading it again is the only solution; although many users have expressed dismay at having to download the entire game again. PlayStation has not commented on the issue yet, and it is likely that the problem will go away before any official fixes can be rolled out. Especially considering that the DLC is released today.
