In what seems to be a rising trend in our market as of late, ASUS is going to be the latest brand to open its own online store for Malaysian consumers. In fact, the store is already live since last week ahead of its official launch later this week on 3 December.
However, it is not the first such store in the region. As it turns out, ASUS Singapore already has its own online store for quite some time and it is not a surprise to see that ASUS has carried over the same minimalistic design as well as interface from Singapore’s store to Malaysia.
At the moment, it appears that only Zenfone smartphones are listed on the store although we were informed by ASUS Malaysia that more products will be made available once the store is officially open for business. In terms of pricing, we don’t see any differences from the ASUS current RRP but the company did promised special promotions as the shop starts to gain momentum.
Additionally, customers are able to choose Cash On Delivery (COD) as method of payment apart from credit or debit cards. That being said, this only applies to orders that have a total cost of more than RM 4000 which is equivalent to roughly 13 Zenfone 4. We wonder though, why would you need that much Zenfone? under RM 4000. The FAQ didn’t state any no minimum order needed for COD, so we suppose you are able to utilize this particular payment method even if you choose to purchase just one item from the store. (Thanks for pointing out the error, Mado!)
