Apart from three new Liquid smartphones that Acer has launched for Malaysian market last week, the company still has one more product under its sleeves that will be released into our market very soon. This particular product is rather interesting in a way that it supports not only one or two SIM cards but three SIM cards.
Well, say hello to the new Acer Liquid E700 Triple SIM smartphone.
In terms of specifications, it is generally almost similar to some of the new Liquid smartphones that we reported earlier. Built with a 5-inch IPS 720p display, the E700 is equipped with 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6582 quad-core processor together with 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage which can be further extended further through the phone’s microSD card slot.
Design-wise, the Liquid E700 is mainly made out of plastic and has similar design language as per majority of devices in the Acer Liquid series. Despite carrying a huge 3500mAh non-removable battery, Acer still managed to keep the smartphone’s weight in check at around 155 grams. The Acer E700 also features an 8-megapixels F2.0 rear camera and 2-megapixels front camera with each of them is accompanied by an LED flash.
Since the unit we encountered here is a pre-production sample, the three SIM capability does not function on the unit. Nevertheless, the cavities for the two additional SIM cards are actually present on the device which are located just across the way from SIM card 1 and microSD card slots.
Interestingly, the 3G connection for all three SIM cards can be set to be simultaneously operational at the same time. In other words, the E700 is a triple SIM active device. Also present nearby is the AcerRAPID button which allows fast access to camera and selected apps.
According to Acer Malaysia, the new Liquid E700 Triple SIM Smartphone is expected to be available at local retailers within this month with a price tag of RM 699. So, if you somehow have a need to use three SIM cards at once, you might want to check out the Liquid E700 smartphone when it arrives at your favourite mobile phone store.
