Owners of a video-game console that have not gotten their hands on Destiny, a first-person shooter with a hint of RPG elements, may be delighted to hear that both a trial and demo of the game are now available for download. Users whom decide to buy the game after playing the trial will be able to transfer their character progress to the full version of the game.
The trial is now available for download on the Xbox store and Playstation store and will take up 20 GB of disk space on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 while the demo versions on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 will take up 6GB of space. It should also be noted that users can only participate in the trial and demo if they have an adequate amount of space on the hard disk drive as gamers will not be able to run the trial/demo from external storage solutions.
Gamers on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 who wish to purchase the full version of the game may do so without downloading the entire game again; the trial and demo can be upgraded to the full game by simply selecting the option to do so in the main menu. Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 owners however, will be required to purchase the game from video game stores, the Xbox store, or the the PlayStation Store.
